Wise words.
The quickest way to get through news is often just to do it. After this week I will no longer be contributing to Manhunt Daily. It’s a complicated decision that I didn’t have much control over, involving lots of different people, interests, and opinions. I had hoped from the outset that we would be in a very different place than we are now, and though we have come a ways, we never quite got there.
I will be sad to leave that position for a lot of reasons (not the least of them being that it was a great way for me to justify the massive amount of porn I watch). I like the Manhunt team a lot, and I will do my best to stay in touch with the guys that I connected with there. It is my hope that the man who continues MHD will try to maintain a positive voice about the subjects he covers. It’s so easy to slide into criticism of performers and directors, shaming them for everything from their sexual prowess to their physical limitations. And it’s so tempting, because that gets clicks. That gets people chattering in the comments. It offers strangers some justification for tearing down performers who they believe oughtn’t be proud of their bodies or their choice of work.
The sense of entitlement that viewers and commenters have to judge and shame and say vicious and hateful things to men they’ll never meet and would be too afraid to speak to, should they ever have a chance, is baffling to me. And so I tried to create a place where we only discussed stuff that was good. Where we didn’t gossipmonger and we didn’t tell people who made mistakes in their personal lives that they ought to be ashamed or live according to the rules of others. We didn’t ridicule people who aren’t as good at things as they thought they might be. And it was cool. I’m proud of that.
I’m proud that I tended a blog that I would read. And that I got to know some of the community of readers who came, day after day, and had positive things to say. Not just about or to me, but about or to performers they loved and scenes or classic works that they admired.
Where to now?
On we go. That site will become whatever it will become now, and I will be on to something else. I don’t know what that is yet, but these are the times when the most interesting things seem to come. I’m in the final stretch of a brand new and beautiful version of tylerthebadwolf.com, and I look forward to sharing that with you guys.
In the meantime, I will do my best to update this more often. There’s no reason I can’t come up with something to talk about here, daily, if I could drone on and on three times a day about porn for a job. Let’s see what it’ll be.

You know Tyler I’ll really miss you at MHD, being in the UK it has always been a pleasure to wake up and scroll to the blog for a bit of mildly saucy news and views. Having discovered this site I’ll be coming here for more of your wit and wisdom carry on sir.
