A reminder that it’s always worth your time to read those reviews!

Did you know that silicone lubes are almost all condom compatible? Because I did not! I just learned this past week that most silicone lubes live in a third category beyond oil-based and water-based, and are completely safe to use with latex condoms. Which was v exciting! Even though I’m on PrEP, I’m still a big believer/defender of condoms for penetrative sex and lube has always been a huge obstacle to effective condom usage.

This new knowledge has spurred a shopping spree to find the best possible silicone lube for butt stuff, and the reading of a lot of articles and product reviews. But nothing prepared me for the comedy of Amazon customer reviews for personal lubricants. After I text the highlights to everyone I knew, I screengrabbed the best of them for your amusement.

These reviews are almost all from the Wet Platinum silicone lube page, which seems to be remarkably highly rated. It’s a bit expensive, but I’ve ordered a tiny version of that and Gun Oil, so we’ll see what wins. If you’re someone who likes encouraging greasy penis play, the adult-sized version is at the top of my wishlist now.

Maybe I’ll be inspired to write my own comedy review after I try it.
