Am I back for real this time? 

Boy! So quiet around here this year, huh? In truth that’s only been partly accidental. The last time I came in here to talk about why I had been away, I shared some of my reasoning. But the truth is that there’s a lot in play. What seemed like a fun way to share things that turned me on, or products and toys that I thought everyone should try, has become in the years since its inception, something else. The weight of discussing these things has changed. The landscape around us has changed dramatically due to imposing Federal laws in the United States, and sites and platforms have all but evicted folks like me who believe that there is nothing damaging, sinful, or wrong about bodies and the ways they work.

My own personal landscape has changed quite a lot as well. I live in Toronto full time now and am pursuing a path toward residency and citizenship here. I have made some personal decisions to reject and remove myself from the things that the US stands for, and it’s not just related to this administration or the damage that is being caused in our present time. Try as I might to keep politics out of this space, and out of my interactions with clients, it is plainly impossible now. Too much has been stolen and too many have been hurt. I choose not to be a part of it.

Yet again, what takes place here (particularly in the absence of Tumblr) and on my personal site at tylerthebadwolf.com, will be different, too. I have lost my ability to email subscribers about new posts, because the company that provided that platform decided, post-FOSTA that I was too great a liability to their business to continue to serve me. Even for money.

There will be new challenges and more services and sites that will exclude and remove me because I’m not afraid of penises or talking about the miracle of connection and divinity that is sexuality. I still love men. And I love watching pleasure. And I love dissecting complicated ideas about those things, in the hope that they will spark something in a reader or two, and help release them from the bondage of this societal theatre in which we participate.

Penises are miracles. And you don’t have to agree for that to be true.
